Pasta in Creamy Aligue Sauce with Squid

Cooked pasta of your choice

1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp. garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 - 1 c water
1/2 kg (1 pound) squid rings
1 bottle (about 3/4 cup) crab paste/aligue
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
Lemon juice

Chopped fresh herbs for garnishing

Melt butter in pan and saute garlic and onions.
Add crab paste and Cream of Mushroom soup.
Stir in 1/2 c water (for thick sauce) or 1 c water (for not so thick sauce)
Bring to a simmer while stirring until smooth and creamy.
Add the squid rings and simmer for 3 minutes more.
Flavor with lemon juice to taste.
Pour over cooked pasta and garnish with fresh herbs.

You can have other seafood like mussels, prawns, and clams.
Or you can change the profile by using diced cooked ham, chopped mushroom and some vegetables. In this case, eliminate the flavoring with lemon juice.
